Moving / Replaforming to WordPress

We’ve undertaken WordPress migration projects of all shapes and sizes.

If you are stuck on a CMS that doesn’t let you manage your content as you would like or needs you to pay for development time for day-to-day changes, replatforming to a bespoke WordPress site will put you back in control of your website.

If you are already on WordPress and looking to switch to a new site, or switch to WordPress Mulitsite – we can make sure your migration goes without a hitch.

It’s easier than you might think to migrate your site to WordPress, and with in-house expertise on hosting, DNS and domain transfers we can ensure the whole replatforming process goes smoothly with minimal disruption.

If you already have an in-house SEO team, or work with an external agency for SEO we’ll work with them, if not we can advise on how to make sure the migration has no detrimental effect on your search engine rankings.

We’ve helped customers migrate to WordPress from all kinds of platforms, including proprietary content management systems. We’ll help you move any content you want to migrate and ensure that any redirects are in place for content that has moved so your visitors can still find what they are looking for.

We also undertake projects helping people migrate to LearnDash from other open source, commercial or proprietary e-Learning platforms.

Questions we’re often asked about migrating or replatforming to WordPress.

We don’t have access to our existing site, can you still get the content?

We can almost always find a way to extract your content, even if the existing system or agency makes life difficult for us. Unfortunately, some proprietary systems make it hard to get an export of your content – but it’s usually possible for us to “scrape” the content from an existing site.

How long will my website be offline for while I migrate to a new one?

In most cases, we can minimise downtime to a matter of minutes – and we can do this outside of your normal business hours. Occasionally more complex transactional/e-commerce sites need a slightly longer time (for example if we need to reconcile stock levels or transaction data), but we’ll always work with you to keep downtime to a minimum and schedule it a convenient time for your business.

I have a WordPress site, but I can’t login – can you help?

Yes, if you have access to your hosting account we can gain access to your WordPress account.

I have a WordPress login, but not an administrator account – can you still migrate my site?

Yes, as long as we have access to your hosting we can get full access to your WordPress site.

I need help moving away from WordPress – can you help?

We can, if the time has come for you to move away from WordPress to another platform, we’ll make sure your last experience is a positive one.

We contacted Delicious Media with a very last-minute job to redevelop a campaign website. Despite the tight deadlines, Steph was brilliant throughout the process and worked with us to get the site live in 4 weeks. They did a fantastic job and were really professional and accommodating. Steph even work on the Jubilee Bank Holiday to ensure our website went live on time. Would highly recommend!
